The once-in-a-generation redevelopment of the former iconic White City tennis complex is kicking up a gear thanks to the recent installation of the tower crane.
With demolition of the old grandstands and the retention of heritage elements complete, our onsite teams have been busy preparing the Rushcutters Bay site for the construction phase of Hakoah’s new hub.
Approximately 200 foundation piles have been completed to date with the majority of the perimeter shoring and retention systems in place. The soccer pitch subgrade will also soon begin, and in line with the project’s environmental sustainability commitment, excess sandstone material from the onsite excavation at Parkview’s Newgreens Chatswood Golf Club project is being reutilised at White City.
Once complete, the inclusive, contemporary sports and cultural precinct – funded by Hakoah Club, donor fundraising, and the Australian and NSW Governments – will bring together the whole community, providing world class facilities to people of all ages.
