CELEBRATING WOMEN | Meet Judy (management accountant), Brigitte (accounts payable) and Somi (financial accountant), part of the ‘Dream Team’ in our Accounts Department at Parkview. Together with Annie (payroll) these powerhouse women have notched up over 40 years of service with the Parkview family – and that’s something worth celebrating and recognising.
The pictured trio are embracing each other in a show of support for the 2023 International Women’s Day (IWD) theme – Embrace Equity – which aims to get the world talking about why equal opportunities are no longer enough.
Equity is not the same as equality and it’s important we all understand why. With equality, everyone is given the same resources or opportunities irrespective of their personal circumstances. Equity, however, recognises that each person is given the individual resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.
Equity isn't just a nice-to-have, it's a must-have, and it's something we are striving to achieve for all our staff at Parkview, irrespective of gender, age, religion, or any other differences. IWD on March 8 is a timely reminder each year to keep striving for equity, especially within the workplace.
